What made you decide to go solar?

Richard: It always seemed that it was going to be something thats going to be overly expensive but with your system here we felt that we were in the right ball park.

What was it like before you had solar panels?

Richard: Well, electricity has always been a large part of the monthly budget. And what you folks were proposing I could see that there were some savings in it for us.

What made Sunly stand out to you?

Richard: Your presentation was very good and I knew that we were onto something.

How was your experience with Sunly between signing up and the installation of solar panels?

Richard: The experience was excellent! sunly took care of all of the licensing requirements and so on and basically they passed the paperwork onto me. All I had to do was read it and sign it.

What made us stand out to you?

Richard: I guess what made you stand out to me, in particular, is that, although I am retired now my profession was as a meteorologist and so when you came over and presented the technical aspects of the installation I was impressed and I knew that you folks knew what you were talking about.

What was the installation experience like?

Richard: O the installation experience was great! The field crew that came out was very hard working, very diligent. They came out towards the end of March and there was some freezing cold days there, and they worked hard and I have to in particular mention the leader of the group, Scott. In my opinion, he went over and aboveboard making sure everything was done smoothly.

Have you noticed any difference in your electric bill?

Richard: O yes! Very definitely, quite a difference. The Maritime Electric did the hook up is $38 a month. and since the installation came live towards the end of March or early April, our electric bills have been $38 a month.

Would you recommend solar to other home owners?

Richard: Oh, I certainly would. As a matter of fact, I’ve had a number of people, friends of mine, come by and say “oh you’ve got solar panels, what’s your experience been like?” and we’ve told them it’s been great and I know that one of them has signed up and another one is just about to make the decision.

Why should other home owners get solar?

Richard: Well I guess there is a number of reasons why other home owners should consider solar. I think there’s two aspects to it. One of course being the financial aspect, but the other being the environmental aspect.

Would you recommend Sunly to other home owners?

Richard: Oh, very definitely, very definitely!

What made you happiest about working with Sunly?

Richard: Well I think the thing that made me the happiest was the fact that Sunly did what they said they were going to do.

What would the main reason be that you would recommend Sunly?

Richard: The main reason I would recommend Sunly is because they demonstrated to me that they were a good company, they cared about their customers and as well as being in the business of installing solar panels they were in the business of making their customers happy.

What would you tell someone that is considering going solar?

Richard: I would tell them to go for it because it’s been a really good experience for us and I’m sure if they went with Sunly it would be a good experience for them as well
