How to connect/reconnect or change your APSystems ECU Monitoring
Please note: these are instructions to reconnect the ECU to a wi-fi network. The actual analytics and summary info is located in your EMA app.
This is your Monitoring Box also known as ECU
The physical hardware that is collecting in from your solar panels
Download the EMA Manager App
Go to the google play store or IOS store and search for EMA Manager and click download.
Tap Local Access on the bottom of window
Do not worry about signing in yet. Just click on “Local access”
Press the ‘AP’ button found on the left side of the ECU Unit
Click on ‘Connect Device’
Chose the Wifi Signal
It will redirect you to your phones Wifi settings, find the signal that starts with ‘ECU’, and click on it to connect to it. If you cannot find the Wifi signal starting with ‘ECU’, please try to restart your ECU by unplugging the power cord, or press the button on the side of the box with ‘AP’ on it.
The password is 88888888 (yes you counted it right its eight 8’s)
Go back to the ECU app
Once connected to the Wifi, go back tot he ‘ECU App’ homepage, the status should show up green, and the ECU serial number will be showing as well.
Also notice that it will say ‘Internet Disconnected’
Along the bottom, you will see 5 options. Select ‘Workspace’
Navigate to the ‘Workspace’ and click ‘ECU network settings’
The workspace button is on the bottom of the screen
Tap WLAN settings for wireless connection
Turn on ‘WLAN’
All available Wifi signals will be shown on your screen as well. Click on the house Wifi signal and put in your house Wifi password (not the 88888888)
If connecting with an ethernet cable:
Go to your ‘ECU App’
Once you have successfully connected your new home page will show ‘Internet connected’
Hooray! You now can see all the info of how your panels are producing power for your home.
