As a Warehouse Operator, you will be responsible for packing jobs and maintaining the warehouse and its inventory.

duties and responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Construction Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse Operator include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Inventory management;

  • Pick and pack jobs for the installation teams;

  • Pick and pack jobs for the electricians;

  • Operate forklift in a safe manner;

  • Receive shipments/materials;

  • Ensure Property, both the warehouse and parking lot are organized, clean and free of debris;

  • Assist with fleet management as requested;

  • Pick up material from suppliers;

  • Deliver equipment to crews as needed; and

  • Ad-hoc tasks as required.

Minimum requirements

  • Relevant construction experience, preferably in the solar industry is an asset;

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse is preferred;

  • Experience operating a forklift;

  • Strong ability to take initiative and work independently;

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate packing of jobs;

  • Excellent orgnaizational skills to maintain an orderly warehouse;

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks in a fast-paced environment;

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable drivers abstract;

  • Ability to learn and understand new material and technical concepts;

  • Proficiency in English is required;

  • Criminal record check is required;

  • Valid Safety training Certificates (WHMIS) an asset; and

  • Certified CPR and First Aid are an asset.
